  • College Graduate
  • With related experience in Logistics (preferably under Impex)
  • Knowledgeable in importation and exportation of shipment operations and procedures
  • Key Functions:
  • Documentation and Paperwork: Preparing, reviewing, and processing all necessary shipping and customs documents is a critical function. These documents include commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations. Ensuring their accuracy is vital to avoid delays or legal penalties.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinates the entire shipment process, from planning pickup and delivery schedules to choosing appropriate transportation modes (air, sea, or land) and managing warehousing needs. Works with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Compliance with Regulations: Ensures strict adherence to both local and international trade laws, tariffs, and customs regulations. This involves classifying goods, calculating duties and taxes, and staying updated on changing trade policies and free trade agreements.
  • Shipment Monitoring and Tracking: Monitors the status and location of shipments in real-time to ensure they remain on schedule. They proactively identify and resolve any issues, delays, or unexpected problems that may arise during transit or customs clearance.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serves as a central point of contact, liaising with a wide range of parties including suppliers, customers, finance and sales departments, customs officials, and logistics providers.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed records of all import/export transactions for auditing purposes. This also includes preparing and submitting various reports to management and regulatory authorities.
  • Cost Management and Negotiation: Can negotiate freight rates and shipping schedules with carriers to optimize supply chain efficiency and minimize costs. Also handles claims for lost or damaged goods and manage insurance coverage.
  • Knowledge in Incoterms (International Commercial Terms)
  • PEZA and BOC rulings and procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Can work in shifting schedule and overtime
